Product description

Each product has one or more input/output components implementing features.

There are:

• input or command features (switches),

• output or control features (“controller”),

• sensors and measurement functions.

You can choose the role of the inputs/outputs to assign them a feature from a range offered by the product’s firmware. This configuration is done by the mobile App when the product is installed.

Some products are already factory-configured and only offer a single dedicated feature (e.g. a built-in switch)

Every product carries an identity: its manufacturer, its model, its variant and its radio address. It can be read without installing the product, from a Bluetooth scan, and once connected through the standard GATT service — which is how a product is recognised in production, at installation time and before an update.
